Coachman's Loops

A Coachman's loop was originally designed to hold down a windshield. One would be on the windshield frame, and the other on the hood. Drop the windshield down, and tie something between the two loops, and you could cruise with the windshield folded onto the hood. That's pretty much illegal now, and not many of us have fold down windshields!

Now they are used often on purses, and on collars, as you can see in the photo. In that photo it has been riveted to hold one of our 1 1/4" O rings . The dimensions of the loop can be seen in one of the photos as well.

These are solid cast brass construction, one with a nickel plating finish (which is why the plated is more expensive, it is the same as the brass with the extra step of plating). They are pretty indestructible and rust proof.
